Primary & Secondary Education

The Metro Water District supports primary and secondary education activities to teach children and youth the importance of protecting and preserving water resources, including:

  • Advocating the Project WET curriculum in schools and nature centers throughout the region.
  • Offering workshops and presentations about water quality and water supply to educators, school principals and school board leaders.
  • Participating in Rivers Alive events and watershed festivals.
  • Promoting the Metro Water District's Essay Contest for area middle school students.
