Governing Board

The Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Governing Board manages the business and affairs of the District. The Board is comprised of:

  • The county commission chairs of counties with 200,000 or more population
    (Cobb, Clayton, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett Counties)
  • The mayor of the District's most populous city (City of Atlanta)
  • The remaining counties are represented by either the county commission chair
    or a mayor whose city has a water or sewer system
  • 10 citizen members
  • Current Governing Board Members

The Governing Board meets a minimum of three times per fiscal year. Information for all Governing Board meetings, including agendas and minutes, is offered on this Web site.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Governing Board and oversees the District's Plan Amendment Process. The Executive Committee meets periodically as necessary, and information for all upcoming Executive Committee meetings, including agendas and minutes, is offered on this Web site.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee advises the Governing Board on all financial matters and develops an annual budget for the District. The Finance Committee meets periodically as necessary, and information for all upcoming Finance Committee meetings, including agendas and minutes, is offered on this Web site.
